Watford UK – 7th November 2024 – In 2020, Covid had its grip on Europe and in March of that year, the UK had its first official lockdown. We were all told to officially stay at home.

Wired Productions MD, Leo Zullo, had been visiting his family farm and his sick father in Italy, just as the lockdown was announced, he had a choice to leave there and then head back to the UK or stay with his sick father, he chose the latter.

The house Leo was living in was the family home his dad had built. Leo had witnessed how hard his father had worked in the hope that the family would all eventually live together in a home surrounded by acres of land.

A few weeks into the solitude, Leo had the desire to work on the land, and after a few botched attempts of knocking down a 50-metre wall with a tractor, he decided to hire a digger. Health and safety were swept aside for learning to use a digger on the fly, with his father watching on from the sidelines, with the occasional, “What are you doing boy!?”. Leo’s dad regained his spark.

Whilst working on the digger Leo realised that the two main controllers of the machine were exactly like that of two VR handsets. The motion of controlling the arm and the bucket of the digger was a perfect match for that of the VR handsets. This sparked an idea and DIG VR was born.

Leo’s company Wired Productions teamed up with developer Just Add Water to make DIG VR a reality.

Capturing the sheer joy, adrenaline and frustrations of life on a digger, DIG VR is an exciting experience for both novices and pros.
